Oct-01-04  pawn52: Will someone stop this repeater??!!
Apr-07-07  Fisheremon: Perhaps being exhaustive physically White admitted blunder 23.Rxe4?? After the obvious 23...Bxa3 the position was totally lost for White. A (GM agreed ?!) draw suddenly followed !!
Apr-12-08  Knight13: I read in the book "Starting out: Sicilian Defense" that Karpov later gave up playing 1. e4 against Kasparov because of his super-solid Scheveningen unable to be cracked. Here, he succeeds, but not enough to win. A great Attempt.
Feb-04-11  nelech: In fact the game finished with 21 ...Re8 . The awful 22 Nde4 never occured . Kasparov thinks he should have continued : " Black's position is already better"
Aug-31-11  DrMAL: <Knight13> After game 1 of this match, Kasparov had difficulty with the Keres Attack so he adopted the Najdorf move order for Scheveningen to avoid it (5...a6 after 4...Nf6). In the 1985 Match that followed this "aborted" one, Kasparov stuck with this plan (i.e., Karpov vs Kasparov, 1985 and Karpov vs Kasparov, 1985 and Karpov vs Kasparov, 1985). In their final game Karpov vs Kasparov, 1985 Karpov was desperate for a win and played g4 later on, but this did not help him as history showed.
Nov-03-15  sined3591: What happens after 14- ... exd4
