Jan-10-07  James Bowman: Weird I usually do not think so but here Karpov's style reminds me of Capablanca with a simple beauty to it.
Dec-27-07  M.D. Wilson: Capa was Karpov's idol from a young age.

Honza Cervenka: Despite of early trade of Queens it was tactically quite sharp and complicated game where Karpov nicely exploited black's errant Knight. 26...Bxd5 looks like a mistake and 26...Rh8 should be better, for example 27.f5 Bxd5 28.f6+ (immediate 28.exd5 is bad for 28...Kf6 ) 28...Kg6 29.exd5 Rh4! or 27.fxg5 Rh4 28.Bd3 Rg5 29.Rh1 Nf4! in both cases with minimal advantage of white. 38...g4?? was a blunder which much shortened black's resistance and also suffering.
