Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-21-03  pkramer: This is a good example of a Blackmar-Diemer gambit game. After the first 7 moves they call it BDG Euwe's defence, the most strong defence for black at the moment. I like this opening, hoping one day someone will rediscover a way to make it playable for white again on the highest level. Against players rated 2200+ it is actually not appliccable yet. Good ideas in using this opening are very welcome!
Oct-21-03  drukenknight: here is an idea: why doesnt white defer castling and start getting a k side pawn storm going?
Oct-21-03  pkramer: Thanks drukenknight, I'll try that next time.
Oct-21-03  drukenknight: in this game such a strategy looks relevant, in the next? how knows?

A more concrete idea would be to study the specific moves that are necessary to pull off a pawn storm in this opening. ANd then try to figure out when it works and when it does not work.
