Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-14-04  morphyvsfischer: Here is the "Poisoned Pawn Latvain", played by its strongest advocate, Paul Keres (he's played more than 1 game with it but I can't find them in the database). It just goes to show that Tartakower had a point when he siad, "If it's dubious, it's playable!"
Mar-14-04  sleepkid:'s only playable here because white's play is so bad. Considering that it was a correspondence game, it's not of very high caliber.
Jun-03-04  Checkmate4327: That's an understatement. I can't believe anyone can play so badly in a correspondence game.

louispaulsen88888888: Anyway, white needn’t go through all this to try to refute the Latvian. 3.Nxe5! Is the way to go.
