plang: 5..Ngf6 is already an error but Boleslavsky missed 6 Neg5..e5 7 Qe2..Nd5 (7..Nb6 8 Ne5)with a strong initiative. This is the only game where 6..exf!? has been played; the more straightforward 6..Nxf6 seems better. Black was already worse but after 16..Bd6? he was lost; 6..Qd7 17 Rfd1. Boleslavsky gave extensive analysis of how strong his attack would have been after 24 Nd4! giving the best defense as 24..Nc8 25 Qh6..b6 26 Ne2..Be8 27 Nf4..Bf7 28 Re3..Qc7 29 Rfe1..Rf8 30 Bc2. Bolslavsky missed this but still obtained a better endgame which he won nicely.
