Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-10-06  Runemaster: Black wanted to see how long he could last without developing any of his king-side pieces. The answer was: not long.
Apr-10-06  Jim Bartle: Very nice catch. Your description looks close to the truth.
Aug-03-09  WhiteRook48: in the St. George's Defense, I originally liked 1 e4 a6 2 d4 b5 3 Nf3 Bb7 4 e5 Bxf3 5 Qxf3, then gave up the line totally
Aug-03-09  Colonel Mortimer: Murray Chandler's signature 4.e5 method of fighting St Georges Defence looks interesting. Prevents Nf6, taking the heat off White's e pawn, and prepares to wrestle ownership of the black squares after Black's e6.

Conventional 'quiet' moves can be fatal against this opening as Karpov found to his cost against Miles.

Aug-03-09  blacksburg: <Black wanted to see how long he could last without developing any of his king-side pieces. The answer was: not long.>

whaddaya mean <not long>? he made through the <whole game> without developing any of them!
