samvega: i think this is called by some a "rubber band" -- a discovered piece protected by the discovering piece . . .
Oct-26-04  AgentRgent: Wouldn't 20. Qxf7+ Kh8 21. Nxb7 work better?
Oct-26-04  Whitehat1963: I think so. Not to mention the obvious: you get two pawns for good measure. Got to be a reason the player of the day didn't play your line.
Oct-26-04  AgentRgent: Once again the computer shows an even better way: 20. Qxf7+ Kh8 (...Kh7 Be4+ ) 21. Qe8+! Kh7 (...Rxe8 22. Nf7+!) 22. Nf7 Qf6 23. Nxd8 Rxd8 24. Qa4
Oct-26-04  themindset: wow, computers.
Aug-21-05  get Reti: This is the exact same game as Sosonko vs Judit Polgar, 1991 except the other rook was moved. I'm not sure who the correct opoonent is.
