Kibitzer's Corner
May-07-05  OverDjinn: Does 12. d5 seems stronger than the text? For instance, 12. d5 Ne7 13. Nd2?! f5 is very similar to Shulman-Bakhtadeze, 1995 except black looks a tempo ahead in the pawn race since white has not played c5. Also, 12…fxe5!? Is interesting but 12…dxe5 13. Qxd8 Rxd8 14. Nd5, it’s true that black does not have Na6 at his disposal and must find other play. 14…Rd7 15. c5 looks in white’s favor, so 14…g4 and now 15. Ne1 or 15. Nd2 are both met with 15…Nd4!, allowing black to play c6 and then Rb8. Those positions look pretty even if not unclear. Interestingly, 13…Rxd8 would now be a novelty since the only game reaching the position after 13. Qxd8 followed 13…Nxd8 (Csiszar-Toth, 1998). Black chose to avoid the line 12…dxe5 13. Qxe5 Rxe5 14. Nd5 but I would have certainly gone into it and I have considerably KID experience. Ideas? Thoughts? Psychology?
May-27-05  OverDjinn: Am I alone in finding something interesting in this game?
Dec-15-07  xeroxmachine: No no no no me too me too metoo meeeto!
Dec-15-10  KingG: 26...Nh3+ 27.gxh3 Qxh4 28.Nf5 Qg5+ 29.Ng3 Be5 would have been an easier win.
