Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-16-05  Tigran Petrosian: 23.Bxg6 was a good bluff that worked. black would've won by 23..Rxb2! 24.Bxf7 Kg7! when white can't continue his attack.
Jun-16-05  nikolaas: <Tigran Petrosian> Do you mean 23....Rxe2? In that case I don't get it. 23....Rxe2 24.Bxf7 Kg7 25.Bxf6 and it's mate on the next move. 24....Kh7 doesn't look any better because of 25.Rh3 Kg7 26.Bh6 Kh8 27.Bf8 Nh7 28.Ng6

Only 25....Nh5 could perhaps save the day. 26.Rxh5 Kg7 27.Bh6 Kf6 White can now draw easily with Bh6-g5-h6 or he could play for a win with 28.Rxe2, the threat being Rg5 Bg7.

Jul-01-05  Tigran Petrosian: Yes i did mean that. and after 25.Bxf6 it is not mate next move because i can play Kxf6 and after Rg6+ Kf5
