Mateo: An interesting game as usual with Larsen. I am wondering why Tal did not play the obvious 31...Rxg3. 31...Ke6 (?) actually played loses a pawn after the accurate 32.Kf2!. Later, Larsen made a questionable move, 51.d5 (?). Maybe he thought he was winning after 51...Rb6 52.Re7 Nxb5 53.Kc5. But 53...Nd6! holds. If 54.Kxb6, 54...Nc8+ 55.Kc5 Nxe7 56.d6 Nc8 57.d7 Kc7! is a draw.

He was probably scared of the rook getting locked on g3 while White pushes the b pawn to promotion. Black can of course play f4 and ♖g5 but this costs some time, and in some lines the pawn chain f4-g5-h6 then may become a target.

  Honza Cervenka: Instead of 51.d5 white should have played 51.Re7 with idea 51...h5 52.Bc6 h4 53.d5 h3 54.b6 h2 55.Rh7 and the game is over. 51...Re6 52.Rxe6 Nxe6 53.d5 is hopeless for black too.
