Apr-13-04  think13: What's up with 12. ... Qg4? Why not Nf5 or something?
Apr-13-04  notsodeepthought: 12 ... Nf5 may not work because of 13 R:f5 Q:f5 14 B:g7 K:g7 (otherwise black is a piece down) 15 Q:h7 Kf6 16 Rf1 losing the queen in this line, though I admit I haven't looked at alternatives that carefully.
Mar-22-05  CivilChess: WOW! Just WOW!
Jan-14-06  Benzol: Nice attack by Tarjan. Perhaps 9...0-0 wasn't the best move in this situation.
Jan-14-06  Zaius: I am confused as to why the final move isn't Rxh7#
Nov-27-07  Whitehat1963: Amazing finish!
Nov-27-07  whiteshark: Is black now pontiff ?
Nov-27-07  Whitehat1963: A black pope? Come on! No way!
Nov-27-07  whiteshark: But white was a Roman emperor, no ?
Nov-27-07  Whitehat1963: I thought he was an ape man in the African jungles.
Dec-31-17  technical draw: I thought I had seen this game played live. But upon further review I was never in a tournament in Mayagüez. And I was probably in Thailand at the time. False memory.
May-21-25  EclesiastesTal: Mihail Tal con esteroides!
