  tpstar: A Nimzo-Indian Milner-Barry by transposition (4. Qc2 Nc6). I would favor 10 ... Re8 so 11 ... e4 is a legitimate threat, also 13 ... a5 to prevent c4-c5 hitting/trapping the Bd6. Black was wise to avoid 13 ... f5!? 14. Bxc6 bxc6 15. Bc3 pointing toward Black's King. In the game, the Be3 proved an effective blockader of the protected passed Pawn on e4, while Black avoided ... Rd5.
