Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-14-02  knight: Black gained nothing by giving up the "minor exchange" early in the game.

PinkZebra: 28)Nd6xf5 is a nice try to sac a queen. How Alekhine conjures up this combo is amazing, talk about harmonius development!
Jan-04-03  knight errant: Alekhine makes some notable moves with his dark bishop in this game. He feints a queenside attack with 21. a4, but then delivers 22. g4. Later, if Black had replied 28…Rxf5 Alekhine wins with 29. Qxf5! ef 30. e6+ Qg7 31. Bxg7+ Kg8 32. Be5+ Kf8 33. Bd6+ and it's all over but the shouting.
Jan-04-03  Sylvester: If 29…Qxf5 then 30. Qg7 mate!
