Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-04-03  ksadler: I played a game in this line (from the White side) last nite. After 8. .. Ng4 (I think that .. a6 and a4 may have been in there too) Black has a lot of pressure in the center. Is there a way to prevent Black's control of e5 in this line? Or is it something that I'll just have to accept or even not worry about? I played 9. Qc2 and then my opponent played 9. .. Nge5 but the positions are similar.
Jun-05-03  Cyphelium: 9. Qc2 Nge5, and now you can play 10. Nxe5 Nxe5 11. h3 following up with f2-f4. This looks ok?

By the way, in this game wasn't black's sac unsound? Instead of 12. h3 I suggest 12. fxe5 and now what? 12.- Rxf1+ 13. Bxf1 Bxe5 14. Nxe4 (not 14. h3 Bd4+) Bxh2+ 15. Kh1 e5 16. Nf3. Trickier is 14.- Bd4+, but after 15. Kh1 Bf5 16. Qe2! white seems to be on top.
