Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-29-04  Tigran Petrosian: A forgotten gem.
Jan-17-06  Peter Yang: sorry, but why did black resigned here?
Jan-17-06  aw1988: There are no immediate threats following Rb8, but the rooks are helpless against the queen...
Jan-17-06  thomaspaine: Maybe Rb8, white goes Qc4, and hard to both protect the rook on g8 and prevent mate on a6.
Jan-17-06  aw1988: Oh, that's even better.
Jan-17-06  aw1988: But Bb6 evades the mate.
Jan-17-06  thomaspaine: <aw1988: But Bb6 evades the mate.>

Not really. Then the white queen jumps to f7, and that should be a mate.

Jan-17-06  aw1988: Aha.

Feb-17-06  Chicago Chess Man: Aw1988: isn't the immediate threat to Rb8, 31. Qc4...? And then I think black must lose a rook to prevent #.
Feb-27-06  hitman84: topa's improvement was 15.f4 I feel, black looks hopelessly lost after the opening itself!

15...g6? I feel once you have developed ur B to e7 there was no need to play g6 I guess he had overlooked Rf5!

the double B's killed black!
