Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-19-04  Knight13: I've fallen into this kind of start before. I also lost. I felt very curious about how to treat it and now I do...
Nov-19-04  Swindler: Try playing 5...Na5 instead, which can lead to 6.Bb5+ c6 7.dxc6 bxc6 and now 8.Be2 or 8.Qf3. They are both interesting gambits. 5.Nxd5 leads to good play for White, just check out some games by Morphy when he uses it to crush amateurs.
Nov-19-04  Knight13: <Swindler> Yes. I find out it from this game: De Riviere vs Morphy, 1859. I think it is the best way to treat it, too.
Nov-19-04  Knight13: <Swindler> And G Neumann vs De Riviere, 1867, too. Thanks for letting me know, too! :)
