Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-31-06  blitzermat: The exchange sac on move 39 is instructive for endgame. Staunton did not play very soundly, either.
Feb-24-06  McCool: Funny how the Vienna game started in London.
May-29-10  James Bowman: Looks like 20 Nc6+ would have ended it sooner unless I'm missing something white ends up the exchange with a Rook vs. Night plus two pawns all pretty much forced. No computer just patzer analysis so maybe not.

3...Bxg1? That was Staunton's move.
I wonder if there is some olde trap, involving ...Qh4+. I can't see it.

White, Jaenisch, has a won position.

He plays very well right through to the very end. Well played!
