  Sneaky: I'm always amazed at how Morphy resists the temptation to take something that's in the hand, and instead throws more fuel on the fire.

For example, here he rejects three times checks which would have gained immediate material: he rejected 10.Qxe6+, 17.Nxc7+, and 23.Nxg7+ (Qxg7? Qxc8+).

Of course when you start the game down a knight, and then go on to gambit a pawn, you're looking for a little more than winning the exchange...

Nov-06-19  Cheapo by the Dozen: By the way -- most Morphy-NN odds games I found were at rook odds. Fortunately, there was this one, and it was a reasonably entertaining one.
