Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-06-05  sneaky pete: The position after black's 13th move would make a nice Sunday puzzle.
Dec-06-05  EmperorAtahualpa: 17.Bc1 to prepare for 18.Ba3+ might also work well.
Jan-13-09  heuristic: better is 13...Nf6 14.Bxf6 Qxf6 15.Rd6 0-0-0 16.c4.

17.B1 c5 18.Rd7+ Kf8 19.Nh4 Qe8
or 17.Qxc6 Qe8 18.Nxe5 Rd8 19.Rxd8 Qxd8
are not as forcing as
17.Nxe5 Qe8 18.Qc4 Nh6 19.Rd3 fxg5
and has opportunities for BLK to blunder. like with 17...Qxg5

the fact that Morphy plays gambits in odds games is just awe-inspiring.

Jan-26-09  WhiteRook48: was Morphy's opponent a famous ruler?
Feb-27-09  WhiteRook48: Hopeless situation
Apr-12-09  WhiteRook48: Morphy's skill of play!
