Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-16-07  Ingolf: This is the game where Ivanchuk thought Adams played on a little too long in a dead drawn position and showed his dissatisfaction by first refusing to move and then ordering a beer.

plang: In the short draw Matulovic-Adamski Vrnjacka Banja 1985 Black had played 12..e5; 12..0-0 was new. White would have had a clear edge after 17..Qd8 18 Qh5..e5 19 Be3. Adams thought 21 a3 would have maintained his edge with very good winning chances.
