Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-26-04  aw1988: This game is somewhat insane.
Aug-11-06  Knight13: Yes. You call it insane if you lose the game. You call it fun if you win the game. Or somewhat other ways...
Apr-05-07  kevinludwig: This variation is supposedly the refutation of the 5. ...c5 alekhine four pawn attack.

In Burgess' 1992 "The Complete Alekhine", I think he makes some vague claim that white will get slaughtered on the open files after 15. ...0-0-0. The key move is 16. Qc1!, given in NCO as winning. Black draws in this game, but I heard somewhere that white can improve at some point after 16. Qc1.

Does anyone know what the improvement is, that keeps the win for white?

May-29-08  Xeroxx: I liked this game so much that I added it to my collection.
Dec-03-11  whiteshark: I like a ♕ sacrifice in the morning with breafast myself.
