Jun-04-08  MaxxLange: A robust defense from White, leading to a powerful counterattack.

Move 40, with White to play and win, is a good Tuesday-Wednesday puzzle, illustrating <REMOVAL OF THE GUARD> and <BACK RANK WEAKNESS> themes.

After 40. Bxg4! hxg4, 41. Be5! ends the discussion. If 41...f6, then White has 42. Bxf6!!, winning heavy material. So, Black tried 40...f6, giving back a piece, to no use.

Jun-04-08  MaxxLange: There are a lot of sharp lines to calculate in a short space of moves here (and right at time control!)
