Apr-25-04  Rama: 10. d5 was an error. Exchanging twice on e5 and then castling was imperative.

11. Bc5 wastes time.

I like 12. g4 rather than h4 as it helps secure the e4 square. But white first has to solve the problem of his King and his development.

Mar-29-05  Accuracy: This game is wrong. The actual tournament cross tables show that Stancil won this game (1-0, not 0-1) so the game score is wrong. More care should be used to check the accuracy of games before posting.

Gypsy: <Accuracy> Looking at the final position, and the final move of <19.Nc5? Nxc5>, I reckon that the tournament x-table got the result wrong.

Otherwise, warm welcome to this site and thank you for woluntering to help keep this free database in tip-top shape. It is a community project.

Mar-29-05  Accuracy: The cross-table is consistent with the later round pairings of both players. Plus the game above is actually a little unreal regarding the errors by white. www.thechessdrum.net also has some of Stancil's very successful games for very strong opposition. The pattern of performance is not consistent with the game presented here. Thanks <gypsy>, I only wish chess base and other databases were more careful. According to others, this type of mistake is not a first, and it may be more the fault of tournament organizers for possibly not checking illegible scoresheets.
