Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-24-16  rwst: Black had possibilities to resist better with 6...d3, 7...Bf5, 8...Ne3, or 21...Nxe3. Then, there were several alternative winning chances for White before Black's big blunder: 28.de, 29.d6, 31.Nc4, and 33.h3 but with 33.Qc4? he even allows Black to level. The move that loses the game at once is 34...Qc3?? Moving to c8 would have at least created a balanced position. Why the rook does not move with 35...Rd8 or Re8 is a tactical mystery. 37...Nf5? only shortens the inevitable. The final position is a mate in 8.
