Aug-25-04  Bobsterman3000: A rusty Karpov playing the Sicilian against Vishy? That's the worst recipe for disaster I've seen since Kramnik decided to give the Najdorf a try...

  tamar: "Horwitz bishops" on parade.
Aug-26-04  patzer2: Anand's 30. c4! looks decisive.
Feb-06-05  lopium: Karpov is not the "super machine" he was. He lost his very strong way to play. But still a very good player.
Oct-30-05  dramas79: <Bobsterman3000> That too in Rapid!
May-25-08  sheaf: I initially thought 24..Qd5 was a mistake and the patzer move Qh5 offering a queen exchange seems ok for black, but then white has Rxf6! which wins a piece. Its hard to find improvement for blacks play after 22..f5, exf6 Bxf6(what else, nxf6 is also faces same threats on the diagonal), after that black would just love to exchange the dark squared bishop, but for next 15 moves blacks bishop sits on f6 as the most unfortunate piece, unable to move either because of pin or because of mating threats. from 24 to 39, white play is an example of precision. accurate game by anand
