Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-15-04  sneaky pete: If it's a nine move draw it must be ... hey, this is round 5!?
Sep-28-04  Rowson: 9 move draw is bad form. give the fans something at least???
Oct-05-04  Rowson: This looks more like the "longest name" contest rather than a chess match. Some constants just don’t go together.
Oct-05-04  PinkPanther: I've seen this exact draw played out many times before, perhaps second only to that one line in the Sveshnikov with Qa5+, where the queen keeps going from d8 to a5 and the white bishop from g5 to d2.
Oct-05-04  PinkPanther: Filippov vs Grischuk, 2004

See what I mean? This game was only taken two half moves longer than the other one.

And this is the line in the Sveshnikov Sicilian, except this game doesn't have the repetition (namely becuase it was an armageddon game at the FIDE WC, and so white would have lost if he drew the game, which he did, but not by repetition so early on).
