Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-29-05  Pawn Ambush: Why can't White play 15.Qb3? I see 15...e5 with good play. After 7...a4 Black seems slightly better. It seems possible that a5 is very playable against Nimzoindian like Pawn Structures see game below. I've tried early a5's in speed games and get like 8 out 10 as Black.

Mar-29-05  Pawn Ambush: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb4 <4.Qc2 a5> is even possible then if 5.a3 Bc3 just transposes into the 4.Qb3 line.
Mar-30-05  Pawn Ambush: Here's another nice one J Bosch vs V Ikonnikov, 2000
Apr-06-05  fgh: Interesting variation of the Nimzoindian.
May-03-05  Pawn Ambush: Another 7...a4 example.

May-07-05  Pawn Ambush: T Van der Tol vs H Kramer, 1946 Not bad!
May-18-05  Pawn Ambush: S Helle vs A Maccioni, 1950 figthing draw.
May-25-05  Pawn Ambush: Another D Ippolito vs E Perelshteyn, 2005
Jul-01-05  Pawn Ambush: Here is another example using the Bogo indian this time.

David Edwin vs Taimanov, 1992

Aug-03-05  Pawn Ambush: Against the Catalan with White playing the recommended b3 stopping...a4!

S Gillam vs N Farrell, 1994

Sep-02-05  Pawn Ambush: Another example dealing with b3!
A Albadri vs G Michelakis, 2004
Oct-05-05  THE pawn: Lol, I see what you mean pawn ambush...but I've read your posts, so I'll give you feedback after I've tried a5-a4
Aug-26-06  Pawn Ambush: Another b3 example. Note how 10... Na6 prevents the thematic b4 and c5 by white with out blocking in the queenside bishop long enough for black to launch his kingside pawn storm. Nice!

P Shaw vs N Thomas, 2006

Aug-27-06  Pawn Ambush: Very instructive game against a slow moving c5 plan by White note the bad Bishop white is saddled with, and the doubled rooks on the a-file by Black.

J Sales vs E Torre, 2001
