Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-16-12  optimal play: Queenmates are always embarrassing, but this one seems especially so.

The initial mistake of George William Lyttelton (to give him his real name; let's dispense with this "Lord" bull$#!+) was 24.e4 which blocked the White Queen's escape route, then 25.d5 completely hems her in whilst giving Black a free kick at his King. Then 27.b3 reveals just how oblivious George was to the danger engulfing his Queen. After 27...Be6 he should have resigned, because his final move 28.Qg6 is forced, and shows that he didn't even anticipate 28...Rdg8!
