All the game black had a better game and even before 34.Ne5 I think it's a draw after 34.B:c6

  fredthebear: Anderssen toys with his opponent. White really took advantage of the pinned Bd5, robbing it's false "coverage" square on the diagonal with 37.QxNc6 and 40.Qxc6 where she stayed en prise until game's end. Black badly needed to make luft to alleviate some of the pressure on his back rank, but Anderssen would still have roughed 'em up.
