Phony Benoni: "I can't believe no one has kibitzed this game"!

Well, of course they haven't. It's a 64-move draw from the Drawing Master himself.

But give it a shot. I think you'll like it.

Feb-22-09  Gilmoy: Schlechter certainly made things exciting for himself. <12..Bf6 18.Ne4> gives him half-open g and a weak f6-pawn. <35.Nxf6> He's down an exchange for a pawn! <42.Bxf6+ 45.Bxc7> He's down an exchange <and> a pawn! <48..Nf5 49..h4 50..e3> He has an obnoxious Knight ... <51.Nd4+ 52..Nf3> He gets his exchange back for a pawn ... <55..e2> He's up a piece for three pawns! <62..Rxf4 63.Kxa6> He can trade his two pieces for White's R+PP.

Black's strong e-pawn was always costing White a piece to stop it. Could White have doubled RR on e and won it?
