Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-13-14  zanzibar: Furman misses an exciting win at move 28. when he should have played 28...Ra2+! (instead of 28...Qf4+)

Then comes 28...Ra2+ 29.Kc1 Qxe2

The excitement comes from the Black king's march after the valiant, but unsound, sacrifice 30.Rxg7

then comes 31.Qe7+ Kg6 32.Qe8+ Kg5 33.Qg8+ Kf4 34.Qg3+ Kxe4

and now 35.Qf3+ admitting defeat, but if 35.Qh4+ Bg4 and game over.

Disappointingly, my version of this game in RUSbase ends at move 35.d6 when Critter gives 35...Rxg2 as a draw. I'm discovering RUSbase to contain a few more errors than I had hoped.

Mar-13-14  zanzibar: Oh yes, I should add that 35...Rh1 is Black's fatal mistake.
