score for Black +4.06 depth 44.

Apr-11-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: Sometimes, the king has not being successful in thursday POTD. It seems interesting the line: 24...Rxd4 25. Rxd4 e3 26. Qe1 Qe5. I don't like 27... Bxd4 27. Nh5+ Kh8 28. Nxf4 (when Qd6 29. Nd3 Qa3+ 30. Kb1 leads to a good position, but has a long run yet to reach the win. The alternative is 27. c3 Qxd4 28. cxd4 Nd3+ 29. Kd1 Nxe1 30. Nxf5 Nxf3 31. Rxg7+ Kh8 32. Rg3 Nxd4 33. Nxd4 Rd8 34. Rg4 c5 35. Ke2 cxd4 36. Kd3 h5 37. Rf4 Kg7... but these moves are not forced. If I'm OTB, I'll chose 24...Rxd4 25. Rxd4 e3 26. Qe1 Qe5 27. c3 Kh8 and now W is in zugswang, since the threat of Qxd4 has not the previous B pin. However, I don't think this is a guaranteed win.
Apr-11-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: The king missed 25... Nh3 that's more powerful.

Apr-12-25  Allderdice83: White's doing fine according to Stockfish until 18. Qf2?! That just moves the queen to a passive square for no reason. Even if the a7 pawn were undefended, why would White take it and open up another file against the White king? Stockfish suggests 18. h5 Nf4 19. Bd6 Qc8 20. Qb4 and later Qc5. Alternatively, 18. b3 Nf4 19. Bd6 Qc8 20. Qc3.

21. Rhg1 looks natural, getting the rook on the open file against the king, but this is where the game turns in Black's favor. Better is 21. Ne2 and on 21 ... Nf4, 22. Bb3, keeping the tension. Black will have to make some trades; 22 ... Red8? fails to 23. Nxf4 exf4 24. Bd4 when White is breaking through (+3.3).

23. b3? is the critical error; White must play 23. Qe3, and after 23 ... Qxa2, 24. Qa3. Stockfish rates the position as dead even (0.0) after 24 ... Qxa3 25. Bxa3 Kf7 26. Rde1, when White will pick up the f5 pawn. Better for Black is 24 ... Qe6.
