  wwall: Instead of 19...Nb6, perhaps better was 19...b5. If 19...b5 20.Qb3 Re8 21.Qf7, then 21...Qf6 holds.

It looks like the losing move was 20...Re8. Black had to play 20...Rg8 to prevent an eventual Bg7 or Qg7 mate threat. After 20...Re8 21.Qf7, White threatens 22.Qg7 or 22.Bg7 mate.
