Apr-18-06  rjsolcruz: The young Wesley So conducted a 20-board Simul play in Meralco last March 13 and we played a similar line; Najdorf's 6. f4, where I answered with Gelfand's 6. ... Nbd7 and got crushed in 22 moves. He could be Rp's youngest GM. BTW, the 12 year old Master scored 19.5 in 20 boards whose accumulated age could be over 500 years.
Mar-19-08  prinsallan: 39. d4 is so amusing. I mean: its rather obvious that white is move so why does black keep on stuggling as far as to the 38th move?

After 34...Qxc3 black is lost. The only thing up to that move was hoping for a blunder and strong counterplay from Black.

Apr-16-09  ChessEscudero: please enlighten me... what's with GM Wesley So's 11.Kh1??
Oct-02-09  Bong Laurel: to ChessEscudero,
if 11 Bxf4 Qb6 chk!
12 K-h1 Qxb2 advantage...
