Jan-29-06  Landman: I wonder if White was better at some point. It looks that way on the surface but the draw was reached pretty quickly.

Black must have a winning attack after 25.Nxb5, or else Adams would have played that.

Jan-30-06  Caissanist: Looks like Adams saw a mirage. After 25.Nxb4 Nxf5 26.Qf3 black is a pawn down with no apparent compensation. Crafty gives 26...Qg5 as a bit better than Nxf5, but black still doesn't get anything for his pawn:
