Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-02-07  myschkin: 15...Nd4 (invitation for an exchange in Anand's favour)

22...f3 23.Bxe5 (strong calm response)

25.Re3 (? way too deep for my prog or simply a "blunder" - giving away all advantage: 25...g4 26.Bd1 Bxg2 27.Kxg2 Qh4 28.bxc6 Qh2+ 29.Kf1 Bxc3 30.Rxc3 Qh1+ 31.Ke2 Qxe4+ 32.Kf1 Qh1+ 33.Ke2 Rae8+ 34.Re3 Qf3+) but Topa didn't see it ....
.....
.....
30.Rb3(?) looks natural, but here 30.Ra3 was much better (30...Rxc4 31.Qh6 Bf7 32.R3b4 Bg7 33.Qd2 Rxb4 34.Rxb4 Qc8 35.Qe3 Qc5 is again equal)

30...g3? leads to a quick defeat, because the way for a counter down the c-file could no longer be achieved - well, my conclusion may fail here :))

Mar-08-12  Garech: Great game from Anand!

Jul-17-13  jerseybob: myschkin:Your analysis after 25.Re3,g4 looks convincing, so what do you recommend on 25? I'm looking at 25.dc,(a)g4 26.Bd1,Bg2 27.Kg2,Qh4 28.Rh1, or (b)25..Qf6 26.Nd5,Qh6 27.Rb3 holds(!?). Strictly a non-computer analysis though.
Jul-18-13  Cyphelium: <jerseybob> Could reversing the move order do the trick for black? Perhaps 25. bxc6 g4 26. ♗d1 ♕h4 intending ♗xc3 etc. At any rate, something like 27. ♖b3 ♗xg2 28. ♔xg2 ♕h2+ 29. ♔f1 g3 looks lethal, as does 27. g3 ♗xg3 28. fxg3 ♕xg3+ 29. ♔h1 ♖f2 30. ♕d5+ ♔f8 (ugly move that last one, but it works).
Jul-18-13  jerseybob: Cyphelium: I'm trying to save the game for WHITE! Work with me here!
