Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-26-20  Amarande: There is one last trap Black could lay, namely 26 ... Rxg7 27 fxg7 Bxe4.

To win, White must now be sure to play 28 Nxe4 first, after which the pawn must queen, and not the hasty 28 g8Q? where Black has 28 ... Bxf3! leaving White, at most, a Pawn up, and a doubled isolated Pawn at that with what seems likely to be a drawn game.

I'm assuming Dake had plenty of time left on the clock, as with time pressure playing these final two moves would be justified.

Aug-26-20  Brenin: Nice pun, commenting on the game rather than the players' names. 21 Rxd7+ was not just a good sacrifice, it was also forced, by Black's preceding move 20 ... Ke7, threatening to trap the White Q with Rh8. Instead, 20 ... R(a or e)d8 would have kept Black in the game.
Aug-26-20  Ironmanth: Clever finish. Y'all stay safe out there today!
Aug-26-20  Andrew Chapman: Instructive blunder
