Mateo: A very difficult game. Visser went for an interesting sac of a pawn and got a lot of compensation for it. Tiviakov was able to find a way to reach a better ending, but, maybe in zeitnot, made a blunder which should have given Visser the advantage. But White, surely in time trouble, missed his chance.

32...g5? <a blunder.> 33. fxg5 Ng6 34. gxh6 <just as simple.> Nxe7 <34...Rb1 35.Kg2 Nh4 36.Kh3 Bf8 37.Rf7 Bh6 38.Kh4, White has a clear advantage.> 35. hxg7+ Kxg7 36. Bxe7? <A blunder and a losing one. 36.Ne7 with some advantage to White was the only move. The poins is that in the variation actually played, White cannot stop the passed pawn. If he would have played 36.Ne7, there was several ways to stop this pawn with the Knight and, at the same time, winning another pawn, after 36...Kf7 (36...a5 37.Nf5 Kg6 38.Nd6) 37.Nf5 Ke6 38.Ng3.> Kf7 <with the threat 36...Ke6.> 37. Bg5 a5 38. c3 <38.Kf1 a4 . 38.Kg2 Rg8 39.h4 a4 .> a4 39. cxd4 a3 <39...cd .> 40. Bf6 Ke6 41. dxc5 Kxd5 42. Kg2 a2 43. Kf3 Rb3 44. Ke3 Kxc5 45. h4 Rb4 0-1
