OBIT: Black outplays White in a tricky R+P vs R+P endgame. The losing move is 57. Rh8? -- White's final move. Since White resigned before seeing Black's move and the win is hardly obvious, the resignation probably occurred during adjournment.

Black achieves the win by maneuvering his rook to cut off the White king and then push him out of position. He has to be careful not to allow the White rook to sacrifice himself for the pawn and reach a drawn K+P vs K+R ending. The main line is 57. Rh8? d3! 58. Rh3 Rg1! 59 Kd5 Rg4! 60. Kc5 Re4 61. Rg3 Re5+ 62. Kc6 Kd4! 63. Rg1 d2 64. Rd1 Re6+ 65. Kb5 Kc3 66. b4 Re1! 67. Rxd2 Kxd2 reaching a K+P vs K+R ending that is won for Black.
