Peligroso Patzer: So which Karpov played this game? Alexander is not rated anywhere near 2668, as listed on the scoresheet for White's rating.

By the way, I just checked the FIDE Top 100 list, and (Anatoli) Karpov's name does not appear. Has he been inactive in FIDE events for more than a year? His current rating (2668) would rank him equal 40th with Onischuk.

Honza Cervenka: <This is Anatoli.> The game looks like true Karpov.:-)

Pretty game.

Oct-28-06  syracrophy: What a great queality of moves by White!

11.Qb1 beautiful! This move makes me think that possibly, white was Reti with a disguise :-) LOL

I don't understand: is Anatoli who played as White? Then, why is it written that it was Alexandra? I don't think she had reached the 2668.

<chessgames.com> Can you please verify who played as white in this game?

Aug-11-07  BrillatSavarin: I was just looking at 11. Qb1 and marvelling, more at something I don't understand than appreciation.

Can someone tell me what it means? Okay, I know the queen is getting out of the pin. Also staying away from the C-file, which is about to open up ... and creating a battery toward h7 (the kingside) Still, that queen looks awfully ensconced there. Is there something else I'm missing? Why is it beautiful?
