  An Englishman: Good Evening: Poor Jan Sefc. His conduct of this game was literally decades ahead of its time, he shows off a long diagonal combination characteristic of the defense, and we can only guess at how to pronounce his name.

Yan like John with a Y just like in German, and Shevich with the 2nd syllable very short

  PawnSac: Wow you're right! It does have a very modern feel to it. He captures many of the main Benko ideas. I had not seen this game before but it would not surprise me if Pal Benko found this game and it inspired him to begin testing this opening
