Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-10-06  Ulhumbrus: This was a success for the Black defence. An alternative to 19...Qf4 is 19...Qc7. On 20 e5 Ne4 offers a pawn on e4. On 21 Bxe4 dxe4 22 Rxe4 c5 23 Re3 Black has the bishop pair for a pawn, not quite enough by itself, but Black does have some advantage in development as well, so this together with the bishop pair may give Black enough for the pawn. Black can regain the pawn by 23...Bxf3 24 Rxf3 Rxe5 or play for more by 23...c4
Nov-10-06  shintaro go: I don't know why the Breyer found its way back to top level chess.
Jun-09-08  whiteshark: <shintaro go> That's the way it works. :D
