Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-21-07  coolbob: Anything wrong with 7.Qxg7, or is it just a wrong tranpsoration.
Apr-15-07  cuendillar: Black do get counterplay after something like 8.Qxg7 Rg8 9.Qxh7 cxd4 and black is likely to regain one of the pawns. Maybe white just didn't want to risk the complications, although it seems more sound for black to play 7.Qc7, which is much more common.
Nov-29-09  whiteshark: It's the only game with <7...f5?> in the databases. I can only imagine that 6...Ne7 and 9...Qc7 have been played in reverse order.
Nov-29-09  whiteshark: <1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. e5 c5 5. a3 Bxc3+ 6. bxc3 Qc7 7. Qg4 f5 8. Qg3 cxd4 9. cxd4 Ne7 >

Nov-29-09  whiteshark: <17...h6> looks like the better choice here. It avoids a white pawn on h6 (aka <Sargnagel>) mechanically.
