Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-28-07  uzeromay: Unusual queen sac by Black. Sound? Decision by White to move K-d1 instead of 0-0 seems dubious to me.
Jan-29-07  somitra: White handled the game poorly. <uzeromay> On 0-0, black gets 3 pieces for the queen, plus the pawns of white are terrible. White should have tried 24 Nc2 (or Nd3) and then bring R to e1 to either exchange or control the e file. This, imho, would have given white an ok game.
Mar-16-07  parinda: the queen sac might be unsound due to 14.Bc3..black can't escape a lost ending. for example after 14...Bb4 15.Nd2 ba1Q 16.Ba1 Ra2 17.Bc3 Ra3 18.Bb4! Re3+ 19.fe3 and black is totally lost..seeing this at the board after someone just sacked his queen against you might not be as easy though since you have to sacrifice yours back to win...that said... the variation chosen by subbarramam with the unusual 9....a5 merits attention since he could have gotten a better game by different means for example 11....axb3 12.Qb3 Na4! wins the e pawn
