May-22-07  WillC21: I find it very hard to believe that white would miss 35.Bd5! Actually, I don't think it even deserves an exclamation, as it probably should be spotted even in a blitz game.

<chessgames.com>, or anybody else, do you know if there was a transmission and/or relay error in this game?

Phony Benoni: <WillC21> If 35.Bd5, can Black escape with 35...Bb7?
May-23-07  WillC21: <Phony Benoni> Assuming there is no error in the gamesheet, black cannot escape with 35...Bb7, although it is maybe the best try.

35. Bd5 Bb7
36. Rf7+ Kg8(or Kh8)
37. Rxb7 1-0

Or, alternatively:

35. Bd5 Bb7
36. Rf7+ Qxf7
37. Qxf7+ Kh8(only legal square)
38. Bxb7 1-0

May-23-07  savagerules: Poor Walter probably wishes he was back in the casino playing poker in Reno.

Phony Benoni: <WillC21> I shall be quiet now. My analysis has been awful of late.
