Dec-28-08  WhiteRook48: Wow so even Fernandez can hold Alekhine into a draw??? Alekhine seems like a terrible player now. And he was Champ!
Dec-28-08  wittmann: mate in two after 24....nh6
Nov-02-12  The Last Straw: After 24...♘h6 (Black could not have avoided mate by then so there is no annotation symbol) instead of Alekhine's 25.♔a1?? White should have played 25.♕h8+! ♘g8 26.♘h7#.
Nov-02-12  The Last Straw: Black looks like a patzer because he fell for 23...dxe4?? 24.♖xd7 .
Nov-02-12  The Last Straw: At the end of the game, the position has completely changed. It looks as if white will lose(!) if he doesn't resort to continuously checking the black ♔.
Sep-29-15  TheFocus: From a simultaneous exhibition in Barcelona, Spain on January 24, 1928.

Alekhine scored +21=2-7.

See <El Ajedrez 1980>, pg. 387.

MissScarlett: The score must be wrong - world champions don't miss mate in two on three consecutive moves. Skinner & Verhoeven have the same score except for 32...Qg4 instead of 32...Ng4.
