Game Collection: Latvian Chess Clubs correspondence

-Gedimins Salmins "Korespondence Sahs Latvija 1877-1944" (Liepaja 2005), pp. 80-81

Feb-14-25  generror: In his 2001 book "The Latvian Gambit Lives", Tony Kosten claims that this correspondence game (which ran until 1936) was "famous" and inspired FIDE to officially rename the opening from Greco Countergambit to Latvian Gambit on their 1937 Congress. However, according to Edward Winter (CN 10123 [1]), they already named it "Latvian Gambit" in their funny 1934 booklet where they half-heartedly tried to standardize opening names (of which they sold exactly one copy XD). But yeah, it is named after the Latvian guys who in that time were pretty much the only ones analyzing and playing it.
