Jun-03-08  luzhin: After 31...Kb7 it looks like a draw. Mecking however was almost certainly trying to win, and so over-pressed with 31...Rc5??, overlooking that after 32.c4! the en passant capture is met by 33.Bf2 and the rook is lost.
Jun-04-08  gauer: This c4 idea, seeking passage, with pinning threats, is reminiscient of a type of Trick found by Sam Loyd: Sam Loyd .

With the R @ c5, B + P together x-ray the King, breaking forward with a Red-Rover type of wall constructed. Tempo is the major gain here, once the opposing K + R are forced into a double-quick retreating March.
