Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-30-08  Xeroxx: opening disaster
Aug-31-08  Mendrys: I'm certainly no master but I'm thinking that after white invades the 7th rank with 19. Re7 and a queen hovering near his queen the last thing black should be thinking is trying to pick up pawns on white's queensite.

What was wrong with 19...Qf6 ?

Aug-31-08  Once: <Mendrys> Fully agree. 19. ... Qf6 seems to be black's best chance. He may have been afraid of this line

19 ... Qf6 20. Qxf6 Rxf6 21. Re8+ Kf7 22. Rdd8

I'd rather be white here, but it's a world better than what happened.
