Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-17-10  elohah: Interesting...scrappy in places.

He's a believer! He believes in his files, his basic Chess elements, even at the cost of a pawn.

43 !! Take note of this, kids. It may be the only reason White won this endgame!

Sep-16-10  cehertan: As I point out in FCM, 68.Rg7+! Kh8 69,Kf7 Nf4 (if 69...f5 70.Rg6) 70.Rg8+ Kh7 71.Bg7 Ng6 72.Bxf6 Bxf6 73.Rxg6! was a much simpler win. GM Rohde is one of the top 2-3 American talents of his generation and I am lucky to have a good score against him. He is a well-rounded player and a solid notch above average GM's tactically.
